Introduction

Sealife Shanghai Aquarium project was made when I worked  in McCann Erickson . Merlin Group once advocated "no animal shows" and canceled whitewhale performance children are interested in, causing tourists number slide and low audience participation. Based on this fact, I designed the project in improving children’s experience in the process, with the hope that they can better understand the ocean knowledge. We optimized the original visiting route and a complete set of surrounding environment. Nine interactive devices on the route can help children learn something while playing.
This project was launched in July this year. According to feedback, the number of offline tourists in September has surged by 150%, and the conversion and users' satisfaction with the venue have also increased significantly. The customer loss caused by the absence of white wales has gradually returned to the normal level.

Key purpose

1.Changfeng ocean world, which promotes the conservation of the ocean and Marine life and refuses animal performances, returned the beluga whales to the reserve in early 2019. How will the baby whales leave the zoo and focus the visitors' attention on the aquarium instead of the beluga theater?

2.At present, visitors to the aquarium are mostly children, how to looking for suitable opportunities to enhance their experience in the aquarium?

Solution

According to the interview and service blueprint,we decided to optimize the new route and create a more interesting installation for the children,let them more engage in the experience in the aquarium.
